Are headphones (ipods, mp3 players, etc) allowed on the course?

For your safety, and that of other runners, we strongly discourage using these devices during a race.

However, they are allowed and we urge you to be very cautious of those around you and all activity on the course.

Are there pacers on the course?

Yes, but pacers will be available only for the half-marathon. Look for the pace per mile signs in the starting area. Pacers will be near those signs. Marathon Pacing Info

Are there shuttle buses available to get to the starting line?

Yes. There are shuttles to the half marathon and 5K. (The 10K starts in downtown AA). The buses line up on Ashley between Miller Street and W. Huron Street as follows:

  • Half Marathon - 6:00 am to 7:45 am (Half starts at 8:30 am)
  • 5K - 7:00 am to 8:30 am (5K starts at 9:00 am)

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE CORRECT BUS FOR YOUR RACE! (Buses will be marked for each race)

Can I transfer to another race?

Yes. There is a $5 charge to transfer races, and an additional fee if you transfer to a race with a higher fee.

Online transfers are available through June 1 at 8:00 pm. The last time to transfer races is at the Expo on June 2 from Noon to 6:00 pm.

Expo questions -

What are the date, location, and time of the Expo?

The Expo will be at Skyline High School on June 1 from 12:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Are credit cards accepted at the Expo?

Credit cards may be used to register for the Dx-AA. Vendors at the Expo may not accept credit cards.

How and where do I register?

Register online or print out a registration form and mail by May 10, 2013. Online registration closes at 8:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2013.

Register on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Skyline High School during the Expo if all races have not sold out. Check the website for information about the limited number of entries or “race caps” for each race.

THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

How are awards handled?

Overall Male, Female and Masters are presented after the completion of each race (see schedule on website).

Age group results are posted on the wall of the Washtenaw County Court House, located on Main and Ann Street. Results will be posted shortly after most participants have finished each race. Updated postings will be made continuously.

Age group awards are handed out at the Awards Tent in the Liberty Title parking lot, located on Main across from the Washtenaw County Court House. Check the postings, and If you are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in your age group, come to the tent to pick up your award.

How do I obtain a refund?

Online registrants can request a refund via their RunSignUp profile. Manage Registration

Refunds will be available through May 22nd

The refund will be your original race price less a $5 cancellation fee and less processing costs. The processing costs are between $2.50-3.50 for the original processing fee plus a flat $2.00 refund processing cost. For example a $30. Race fee will be $20.00 ($30.00 - $5.00 - $3.00 - $2.00).

  • Fees will be refunded via paper check
  • There are no refunds for mail-in registrations

How do I volunteer?

We are currently accepting online volunteer registrations!

If I pre-registered and can’t participate, can I transfer my bib number?

Yes, go online through May 31 or go to the registration table at the Expo on June 1. The transfer must be for the same race in which you are registered.

THERE ARE NO BIB TRANSFERS ON RACE DAY!

Is it permissible to run with a baby buggy or pet dogs?

Baby buggies are allowed only on the 5K course. Plan to start at the end of the pack of runners at the start line. Please take extra caution to insure the safety of other runners, yourself and your child.

PET DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE!

Is there a bag drop off area for runner’s gear?

Yes. The bag drop off area for the 10K is in the Ann & Ashley parking deck, near the Registration area. For the 5K and Half Marathon, the drop off area will be at the start area.

Small plastic bags are provided at the staging areas for each race. You may also use your own athletic bag. Your name and bib number must be clearly printed on the bag. Do not leave valuables, breakable items or car keys in the bags. The AATC is not responsible for lost or stolen items from clothing bags.

Pick up for all bags is in the Ann & Ashley parking deck. For more details see "Clothing Bag Protocol" in the "Rules of the Road" in the INFO section.

Is there a medical tent?

Yes. A staffed medical tent is located on Main Street near the Washtenaw County Court House. In addition, First Aid workers will be on the courses and downtown to assist anyone with a medical problem.

What are the start times for each race?

What is the typical weather on race day?

For the first week in June, the average temperature range is 55º to 73º, clear skies and 75% humidity with a 5 mph breeze.

However, it is possible to have humidity approach 100%, a high temperature hit 95º along with no wind. Obviously, we all hope for cool weather BUT we are prepared this year with extra water, cups, aid stations, ice and medical assistance.

What time should I arrive on race day?

It is recommended you arrive as early as possible to obtain nearby parking, and bus transfers to the half marathon and 5K.

We recommend arriving by 6:45 am.
