The Ann Arbor Track Club and Jack Demmer Auto Group present the annual Dexter-Ann Arbor Kids Run, a “mini-meet” on the oval track. The Kids Run will be held rain or shine in combination with our race expo and packet pickup, on the track at Ferry Field, University of Michigan on Saturday the day before the main events.
This event is open to all kids age 12 and under, with an emphasis on fun. The kids run is a great way to get youngsters involved in the weekend and introduce them to the sport of running. A detailed order of events will be emailed to parents pre-registered by Friday of race week.
REGISTRATION
Online registrations are processed right up until race day. Race day registration will also be available, both at the expo and outside at the track.
KIDS RUN DETAILS
- 09:45 am — Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration opens at Ferry Field
- 10:00 am — Infield of track open for warm-ups
- 10:25 am — Welcome & Opening Remarks
- 10:30 am — 100m Dash (Grouped by Age)
- 10:35 am — 400m (Boys & Girls, age 5 & under)
- 10:40 am — 400m (Boys & Girls, age 6 & Over)
- 10:45 am — 800m (Boys & Girls, age 6-8)
- 10:55 am — 800m (Boys & Girls, age 9 & Over)
- 11:00 am — 1 Mile Family Run
- All kids receive a t-shirt, finisher medal and post-run refreshments.
