Q: Are there any road closures or detours?

The stretch of Miller Rd. between Newport and Seventh will be fully closed from March 24 through July 7, 2025. This affects our primary route from downtown to the 5K start. It should be fairly easy to detour to the 5K start (Miller to Brooks to Sunset to Newport).

Q: Can I switch to a different event?

Transferring to a different event can be done online until the event fills or 14 days prior to the race, whichever occurs first. Click here for instructions . There is no fee to transfer events; however, if you transfer to an event with a higher registration fee you will automatically be charged the difference between entry fees, but if you transfer to an event with a lower registration fee you will not receive a refund for the difference.

Q: Will there be energy gel on the course?

Yes, there will be Honey Stinger energy gel at mile 6 and 9 aid stations on the half marathon course.

Q: Are there shuttle buses that return to the half marathon and 5K start lines when the race is over?

No. If you choose to park at the half marathon start (in Dexter) or 5K start (Forsythe Middle School) you must arrange your own transportation back to your vehicle.

Q: Can I defer my registration to next year's race?

Deferments are permitted until 30 days prior to the race. Note that the deferment will be for the following year's race only (cannot defer further into the future) and the same event you have entered. You cannot defer more than once.
