Q: How many aid stations are on the course?

5K: 2 Water Stops. 10K: 5 Water Stops. Half Marathon: 9 Water Stops. See the course maps for specific locations. We will offer water and Gatorade at all water stops. Honey Stinger energy gel will be available at miles 6 and 9 of the half marathon.

Q: What is the half marathon time limit?

The maximum allowed pace for the half marathon is 15 minutes-per-mile (a finish time of approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes) . We are required to open the course to vehicles on Huron River Dr. by 12:00pm/noon. If you are not certain that you can maintain a 15 minute-per-mile pace pace through the entire race, please do not attempt the half marathon — register for the 10K or 5K instead. If you fall behind the pace you will be picked up by the sag wagon and driven to the finish line in Ann Arbor.

Q: Where do I board the shuttle buses to the start lines?

SHUTTLE BUS INSTRUCTIONS (HALF MARATHON & 5K ONLY) Plan to arrive early. Buses will begin leaving at 6:15 a.m. and will continue until the line is gone. If you are not in line for the shuttle by 7:15 a.m. we cannot guarantee you will make it to the Half Marathon start line on time. The half marathon will start at 8:30 a.m., regardless of whether you are there. The 5K start is located approximately 2 miles from the bus loading site. (Miller Rd to Newport Rd). Shuttles to the start are available, or you may choose to run to the start as your warm-up for the race. All shuttles will load on Huron Street between Ashley and Main Streets. You must show your race number ("bib") or printed proof of registration in order to board a bus.

Q: Where is the finish line?

The finish line is located 220 N Main St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 near the Ann St. intersection in Downtown Ann Arbor.

Q: How do I obtain a refund?

Your entry fee is not refundable. However, you have a few options: If you purchased race insurance, you can use this to get your money back. We can defer your registration to next year. Contact the race director for details.* You can officially transfer your bib to another participant.* *Deferments and bib transfers must be completed at least 30 days prior to the race date.

Q: Why does the half marathon start so late?

Amtrack! There is a train that is scheduled to leave Ann Arbor at 7:50am every Sunday morning. The train crosses the half marathon course at two points between Ann Arbor and Dexter. Sometimes the train has crossed in Dexter as late as 8:20am. The 8:30am start is as early as we can make it. If and when Amtrak changes the schedule, we will adjust accordingly.

Q: How can I volunteer for the event?

We would not be able to hold this event without our wonderful volunteers. The numerous volunteer tasks are described in our online registration portal . You can choose a task that fits your skills and schedule. Volunteers receive a custom event shirt and our gratitude.
